Ramadan Mubarak dear Friends,
I just wanted to share with you my latest video on my YouTube channel:
It’s got some hard earned wisdom, experience, humor and real talk. We have to be honest and truthful. Being a convert is hard, but nothing worth anything is ever easy.
Muslims are called to be at the forefront of everything good, forward-thinking, justice-oriented, and virtuous. We are supposed to be ambassadors for God and divinely beautiful examples for the rest of humanity in every regard. Everything begins with awareness and honesty. Then the hard work must begin. I humbly share my input here in hopes that it may be of help to someone on their journey in our collective mission.
Wishing you a blessed second-half (!) of Ramadan! I can’t believe how quickly time flies! May I ask a favor: if you enjoy my video and think others might benefit, please help the YouTube algorithm choose to expand its reach with a LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT or SHARE! Every engagement with the video helps! Thank you so much! :)
Hello Grace, thank you for all the tips. They're very helpful and practical. I am sorry that it continues to be an ongoing process. You're right that it is a practice in patience and kindness as well as discernement when seeking information and support. I do have a very practical couple of questions as I try to be closer to Allah and stronger internally. Please try not to laugh. I want to know, if as a Muslim woman if I have to never go swimming again. I used to do lane swims for my mental and physical health and now I don't go anymore. Secondly, there are no Halal foods near me. I am now not eating enough protein and miss chicken or fish once in a while. Is that just a price to pay? I am 67 years old. Thank you for any advice or information you can point me to Grace. Did you have to go through these questions too?
Mashallah! Your YouTube channel is growing so fast sister. Keep up your work, as it might be helpful for many recent Asian reverts 🙏
